Operating a PayPal account in Nigeria Before now has been a great task which has opened door for a lot of self-claimed Paypal gurus in Nigeria, they will come up with different kind of ebook titles like; 101 ways to operate paypal in Nigeria, How to open and verify paypal account in Nigeria Easily, How my grandma registered and started using paypal in no time in Nigeria(this one is really funny)….

Although, there strategies do work but the issue of Nigerian not yet approved is still making a lot of our dear Nigerians hard earnings to be withhold and their paypal accounts limited. This made most Online marketers to make their mastercard and visa card the best alternatives to paypal but you cannot receive payment via your mastercard and visa card.
I published a post early hour of yesterday titled: Nigeria and 9 Other Countries can now Use PayPal, after the full confirmation I have being able to open a new Nigerian Paypal Account yesterday evening without and proxy and I verified it in no time. In this post, I will explain how I did mine.
How to Open PayPal Account from Nigeria
1. Visit www.paypal.com and click on sign up
2. ‘Nigeria’ would has been selected for your country or Select ‘Nigeria’ as your country, if you can not find Nigeria on the list of countries, that means your ip address is not a Nigeria one, you can solve that by visiting www.paypal.com/ng/signup
3. Select your account type: personal or business account
4. Fill all the necessary details that are required and hit ‘sign up’
5.You will be prompted to a adding card page, where you will be ask to add your card, try to add your card to your account and if it shows error click ‘go to my account’
6. By the right you will see ‘notification’ click ‘confirm email’, log in to your email and you will see a confirmation e-mail message will sent to e-mail address you used to sign up. Locate this e-mail from Paypal in your e-mail (inbox
or spam as the case may be) and click on the confirmation link in it. Doing this will take you back to the Paypal confirmation page.
You have just opened a unverified Paypal account.

How to Verify your Paypal account
Here I will explain how you can verify your Paypal account using your mastercard or visa card bank account card.
1. Login to your Paypal account, then click on My Account and click on ‘unverified’ link
2. Add your Mastercard or visa card details and submit.

NOTE: if you have done that in the first instance, you will just have to select the card.

3. You will be taken to the account verification confirmation page
4. log in to your Paypal account and click on the confirm link.
5. Enter your email and click on submit.
Little amount will be deducted from your bank account and you receive alert from your bank including the amount which paypal will ask you to enter.

NOTE: Like Paypal mentioned in their press release or interview, accounts opened by Nigerians do have some limits. There is no ” Withdraw”, “Request Money” and “Add Funds” feature on Paypal accounts owned by Nigerians. The only option you have is ” Send Payment”.

I believe this limits would be raised soonest, when they get things sorted out with banks in Nigeria.
